Alec Marsh Proposes at Wrigley Mansion

Alec, a talented Major League Baseball player for the Kansas City Royals, got down on one knee and proposed to the love of his life, Makenna. The iconic backdrop of the Wrigley Mansion in Phoenix, Arizona, was the perfect setting for such a life-altering event.

Makenna, a former softball player at ASU, shares his love for the sport while supporting Alec as he embarks on his new career and raises their new puppy!

Like many others, their love story started in college. Alec, entering his Junior year, noticed Makenna in a Snapchat story through a mutual friend on the softball team. He immediately needed to know more about her and asked his friend to bring her along to a party. What began as casual interactions quickly evolved into something deeper. Two months into their connection, Makenna practically moved into Alec’s place, leaving no room for doubt that they were meant to be. Alec vividly recalls the nerves and the desire to be perfect for her from that very first night, convinced that Makenna was his forever.

Alec consulted with the family jeweler, learning about diamond cuts and qualities, so that he could get Makenna the perfect ring. One with clarity and brightness that stood out from the rest. He scheduled a tour of Wrigley Mansion with dinner to follow at Geordie’s. One of the best places to eat in Phoenix.

The days leading up to the proposal were filled with nervous anticipation for Alec. Despite the inevitability of the off-season proposal, Alec couldn’t shake the nerves! Makenna, who had been anticipating the proposal for three years, had a good sense that the time was near. As they walked down the path overlooking the mountains, Makenna saw the cocktail table filled with red roses and champagne and began to cry. Without hesitation, she said, “Yes!”

Looking ahead, Alec and Makenna are excited about their future together. Their dream is to build a strong life together and start a family. With the busy baseball season and the craziness of life ahead of them, Alec most looks forward to the weeks immediately after their wedding. It will be the time when he can give his beautiful bride his undivided attention and dream about their future. Unplugged from the rest of the world, taking in every emotion of becoming Mr. and Mrs.
