As we bring 2018 to a close, we are excited to share with you what goes on behind the scenes! We made it a priority this year to create and curate content that would inspire and educate our readers while sharing our client’s beautiful stories. We also want to entertain you this year! The best way to do that? To share some of the hilarity that goes on behind the scenes of MaeWood Photography!

We absolutely love what we do. Being with people on one of the most special days of their lives, and then milestones to follow is our dream job! So, if you are looking for two classy professionals… Look no further!

Take Meg for example! She has so many skills. You can generally find her making all of your wedding gown dreams come true…

planning and organizing when you need assistance…

under your engagement or ceremony decor…

hanging out with the kids…

or making an amazing face anytime a camera flashes in her direction!

Then there is Jes! Her special role includes hijacking donuts from the reception…

making sure your veil is in properly, and your boobs are tucked away…

styling your wedding shot list to perfection…

and not so gracefully removing unwanted decor from the background of your images!

Overall, we are pretty darn similar. We absolutely love turning our booties to the camera,

dressing up as Mario and Luigi, dancing the night away, cameras in tow…

and giving our clients a Jes and Meg sandwich of love!

We are the lucky ones. Another year is in the books and we are so thankful for each and every one of our clients. We are also thankful for our other teammates in this business! We don’t know where we’d be without out our stand-in models to check the lighting and scout new locations!

We also have Michael, Jes’ husband… the Grinch hat wearing, teller of bad dad jokes, business management side of life, who carries all the things!

and last but not least… we can’t forget Dave. Dave is our silent hero on most occasions and Megan’s husband. He packs us snacks for long wedding days ahead, runs to the store for us last minute, and holds the reflector when it is needed most!

We can’t believe another year is in the books! We’re so thankful to get to do what we love together and with our families! We have a feeling 2019 is going to be our greatest adventure yet!
