For many of our couples, photography is one of the most important investments on their wedding day. When it comes to the photographs themselves we break it down into two categories:
We are there to document your day so you have tangible memories to tell your love story for generations to come. This is the truly authentic story, the behind-the-scenes, the funny faces. This is every memory you want from your wedding day, and we are there to be your second set of eyes. Your storytellers.
We are also there to curate your wedding images to create the most gorgeous pieces of artwork, including prints, albums, galleries, and even your blog post! Still authentic, still real, but an exquisite and visually interesting display of your wedding day. Today, we are going to be sharing information on how we curate your images and five tips for a truly beautiful wedding gallery!
One of the best detail investments you can make is on a beautiful invitation suite. Here is why! First up… the first thing your guests see from your wedding day is the invitation. Does it give a preview to what your wedding day will be like? Is it getting them excited to attend, does it do your wedding day planning justice? This is your first impression. And yes, of course, first and foremost, your wedding is about your love and the commitment you make to each other. However, if you are on the wedding train, the celebration traditionally calls for the beautiful florals, decor, and more. So why not showcase what they can expect with a personalized invitation suite?!
Gorgeous stationery also adds to the details of the wedding day, and we LOVE photographing the details! If you are interested in having your wedding published to inspire the world of brides, then details are actually required! So say yes to an invitation suite!
Not sure what is included in an invitation suite?! Well, it all depends on what you want, but we recommend and LOVE when our brides have the following:
-Customized Invitation (watercolors are GORG!)
-Matching Envelope
-Dinner Menu
-Detail Card
-RSVP Card
-Return Envelope
-Wax Seal and Ribbon

Nothing takes away from a dress photo like a plastic hanger (or non-matching hangers for that matter!). Wooden hangers are certainly our next favorite investment for a breathtaking wedding gallery. They are cheap and often come in packs at stores like Amazon, and Bed Bath and Beyond. If you want to go all out, you can even get beautifully engraved and personalized hangers for your bridal party here.
Elegant ring boxes that coordinate with your stationery and wedding day details is the perfect way to elevate your gallery, showcase your rings, and add dimension to your wedding day details. Ring boxes are by no means the top investment we would recommend, but we LOVE THEM! They add color and spice and allow your ring set to stand out from the rest of the details! The Mrs. Box is one of our favorite spots to grab a ring box (we may or may not have a few in the collection), but you can also grab one from sites like Etsy and Amazon.
This one should probably be number one! If photography is important to you, then lighting is important to you! Especially when you are going for our light, airy, and timeless feel. For a gorgeous wedding gallery, plan your wedding day festivities around sunset. Have a first look so that you can nail out all of your family and bridal party portraits prior to the ceremony and then finish up with your husband and wife portraits right at sunset! The glow and the stress-free vibe this timeline provides will show through in your gallery!
Yup… that’s it. Just windows and white walls! When you book your getting ready location, or choose a room in your home, choose the room with the MOST WINDOWS and the least amount of color! Natural light does EVERYTHING for a wedding gallery and will bring your photos to life. While the white walls are less distracting in your images! We want to focus on you, your love, and your experience! So clear out a room, have a cleaned up space that is white (or light in color) and near as much natural light as possible! You will thank us (and we will be thanking you!)
We hope these tips elevate your wedding gallery!
