A desert girl with a heart that will always partially reside in Maryland. I am stoked that you landed on this tiny space of the world wide web, and I hope that you stick around a bit! Since you stopped on in to get to know us, I will hop right to it. I am a mamma, wife, and story teller with a general obsession for puppies and food. I started this journey of photography looking through old photo albums with my grandmother and playing with the hundreds of disposable cameras we had. Even though it has always been a passion of mine, photography wasn't my first career. With a background in education, I come to every wedding day with a teacher's heart, compassion, patience, guidance, education, management, love, HUGS & fun (plus the occasional ninja move, of course)!

THE DETAILS MATTER | We pay very close attention to the little details so you don't have to. Whether it be fixing your hair, adjusting your necklace, temporarily removing salt + pepper for your table detail photos, or asking your great aunt to sit her purse down for family photos, these are things we notice.
WE CREATE TIMELINES WITH YOU | We work together to create a timeline for your wedding day to eliminate stress and ensure we capture everything you dreamed of while staying present with your lover, family, and friends.
IN-HOUSE EDITING | Editing is meant to be done by the artist. If we outsource our editing, how can we properly tell your story? As your Virginia Wedding photographers, it is our job to cull and curate the best photos that we know will mean the most to you and edit them true to color to accurately tell your story.
ONE-WEDDING WEEKENDS | If we capture multiple weddings in a weekend, there is no way for us to be our best for you. That's one we only work one wedding a weekend.
WE ALSO CAPTURE VIDEO | Jessica's husband, Michael, is our creative videographer, creating unique wedding films for each of our couples.

We start this process with a complimentary consultation so we can get to know each other, as well as what you are looking for in terms of your wedding day coverage or portrait session. On your wedding day, you’ll spend more time with your vendors than your spouse, so we want to make sure we’re the perfect fit for you. We will take time to truly understand your unique love, dreams, and desires, which ultimately leads to us becoming great friends! After we answer all of your questions, we'll send a proposal so you can secure your date.

Next up is your scheduled session. When you invest in wedding day coverage, you receive a complimentary engagement session. Engagement sessions are to take place prior to the wedding day so we have a chance to meet in person and experience each other's company as well as our shooting style so you are comfortable on your wedding day.
All portrait sessions are up to 90 minutes long and will include a variety of photos and on-site locations. We like to create movement, capture emotion, and delicately direct you every step of the way.

LETS PLAN TOGETHER
About six months out from your wedding day we will meet again to discuss your timeline. This is where we chat about all of the developing details and create your timeline together. Some couples want us to capture the entire weekend, and others want a special boudoir session the morning of their wedding. This is our time to narrow in on your goals and ensure that we have enough coverage time to make your dreams come true.
60 days out, we will meet again to finalize the details and go over any last minute changes!

We are absolutely honored that you chose us to be with you on your wedding day. Now that we are here, all of the planning and details will fall into place. Everything we did during your engagement session will come flooding back to you and all you have to worry about is each other. Finding joy in every moment.
Our wedding day coverage is typically 8-10 hours, starting with details and ending with a controlled exit. Wedding weekends typically include coverage of a welcome party, the wedding day, and a beautiful after wedding brunch. Regardless of your plans or your coverage, we will be there to document the magic.

FOR THE LOVE OF ART
Everything we deliver is a piece of the artwork we create during your session or wedding day. Although you will receive the digital files within 7 days for portrait sessions and 30 days for weddings, we believe that our memories shouldn't live on a flash drive, and they aren't meant just for social media.
Albums and Classic Photo Boxes take up to 6 weeks to arrive. They are hand made in the United States, providing quality, tangible heirlooms for you to experience for generations to come. More art work can be purchased through your gallery.
