This past Saturday, Madeline and Bryan celebrated their love with a black-tie affair at the Iconic Wrigley Mansion. It was the perfect setting for elegance and romance.
Notably, the mansion was constructed in 1931 in the desert foothills of Phoenix by William Wrigley Jr. as a gift to his wife, Ada. Perched atop a private knoll, the property commands the most dramatic views in Phoenix, including the mountains and distant city skyline.
Maddie and Bryan have a rich legacy of enduring love, inspired by their family’s milestones and that surrounding the mansion. Mr. and Mrs. Wrigley marked their 50th anniversary when building their Phoenix home almost one hundred years ago. Meanwhile, Maddie’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Barrett, celebrate 70 years of marriage as The Dobes begin their journey forever.
However, this journey’s romance didn’t start at the Wrigley Mansion. It began in December 2020 when Maddie and Bryan met at a bar. There was no exchange of information, but fate brought them back together a short week later. Since that serendipitous moment, these two have built a beautiful life together. They have chased country concerts around the nation, frequented trips to Mexico, experienced Yacht Week in Croatia, became a family with their pups, Nala + Zona, and made wishes at the Trevi Fountain in Rome.
In November 2022, while on a family trip to Hawaii, Bryan asked Maddie’s dad for her hand in marriage. Just a few months later, Bryan proposed to Maddie. He dropped to one knee as they danced to their favorite song, “At the End of a Bar,” during a private sound check at a Mitchell Tenpenny concert. You can see a pictured timeline on their wedding website!
Maddie and her girls started their day getting ready in the quaint cottages at The Arizona Biltmore. It has a beautiful desert backdrop, modern and classy rooms, and vintage-style bell carts. Afterward, once the girls were ready, Maddie opened a bottle of champagne. Accordingly, Maddie’s sister, Jessica, and Matron of Honor, Cassidy, shared sweet words, toasting Maddie to a life full of love, happiness, and babies.
We want to take a moment to share in that toast now that the wedding day has passed. Madeline + Bryan, you two are one of a kind. Your love, families, class, and friendship culminated in one beautiful day we were so joyful we got to capture and experience. The moments on your wedding day are certainly one for the books. Here is to a life full of adventure, steadfast loyalty, and a love that stands the test of time!
Maddie meticulously coordinated her black, white, and gold wedding aesthetic with the details of Wrigley Mansion. Additionally, her aunt’s floral design was the perfect accent to the bougainvillea wall and florals on the Garden Terrace. Furthermore, the thoughtfulness put into the planning of her day was incredible, from the details of her bouquet charms, including her grandfather’s ashes, which were gifted by her mom, to the surprise dance celebrating her grandparents’ 70th wedding anniversary. It was all magical.
Although the Dobes’ wedding day exuded elegance, it was, more importantly, full of authentic and beautiful moments they will forever cherish. The way Bryan swept Maddie off her feet during their first dance was jaw-dropping. The moment when tears fell down her face as Maddie’s sister and best friend toasted to her new life will forever be etched in her memory.
We thought it couldn’t get any better. We were wrong.
Maddie held on tight as she danced with her grandfather, a role model of love. Then, Bryan and Maddie laughed until they cried as their best man, Dom, spoke from his heart with the best speech we have ever heard. Bryan grinned from ear to ear as he shared a special moment at the cigar bar with his closest friends.
To end the night, The Dobes danced the night away and continued to party with their friends and family in Geordies. A grand time was had by all!
