“Oh my gosh guys, I’m dying over here!”

This is the exact phrase I used during Patrick and Brooke’s maternity session this evening! Not because we had below freezing temps or that we were sliding on ice while hiking the path to the waterfall. Nope, it wasn’t even because I almost fell and busted my booty on multiple occassions. It was because everything about this maternity session was breathtaking and exciting! The sunlight, the frozen falls, the tall golden grass on the private property (trespassed twice in one week-sorry, not sorry-don’t try this at home-client approved), but most of all their love and friendship.

Patrick Keim and Brooke Carpenter first met at Lemon N Ginger in May of 2017. When Patrick came into the restaurant with his best friend, he sat at a table that was in Brooke’s section. They immediately started joking with each other and had an instant connection. Patrick asked Brooke out that night, but she didn’t give in too easily. She told him that he knew where to find her if he wanted to really see her again.

Patrick didn’t waste any time trying to get to know Brooke. The very next night, he walked back in the door at Lemon N Ginger as Brooke’s shift was ending. They went out for dinner and drinks and four hours passed in a blink of an eye. They parted each other that night with the realization that they were head over heels. The following day, Brooke was scheduled for surgery and after just 36 hours, Patrick didn’t hesitate to show her just how much he cared. Patrick went to Brooke’s side to make sure everything went well and he met her entire family! We can’t speak for anyone else, but hello! What a gentleman! We like your style, Patrick!

Within the past year and a half, these two lovebirds have built a home, got engaged in May of 2018, added two adorable Yorkie puppies to their family, and now they are expecting a sweet baby boy, Chase Noble Keim; and they will be married on Friday! When Brooke found out she was pregnant, she just couldn’t wait to tell Patrick about their exciting news. When he came into the house, she threw the test into the crockpot and asked him to start dinner. As he took off the lid, he saw the test and started crying happy tears! Can you see why we are over here dying!?

it doesn’t end there…

The last reason I (Jes) absolutely loved this session is that as Brooke and Patrick are excited about their journey into parenthood, my own mom was able to come with me and assist me for the very first time! She was amazing and it was so rewarding to share this special session with her!

Okay… okay. I know. I ramble on! Here is what you have been waiting for!

Congratulations Brooke and Patrick! We can’t wait to watch your family grow and meet little Chase Noble!
