Chris and Amy’s Longwood Gardens engagement session was truly meant to be—especially for Amy, who spent countless childhood days there with her grandmother. Choosing this location wasn’t just about the beauty (though it’s undeniable); it was about returning to a place woven into Amy’s heart. She describes it as one of the most magical places she has ever been, and we couldn’t agree more.
Chris however, has never been. Amy was thrilled to share this place with her soon-to-be husband and utilize the membership her mother-in-law purchased for her! Chris had heard so many tales from her trips to Longwood Gardens and imagined it to be beautiful, but was still in awe when he strolled through the park to our first stop at the Conservatory.
where it all began
Chris and Amy met in fourth grade at Jarrettsville Elementary School. They have always been friends, but never dated. When Amy went through a tough breakup, Chris was there to pick up all of the pieces. They remained friends, but after a few months, they certainly started to feel a few sparks fly! Amy decided she just couldn’t keep all these sparks to herself, she had to tell someone! So one night, when Amy was out with a few friends, she messaged Chris’ sister, Erin, and told her about her “secret” feelings toward Chris. Needless to say, these feelings did not stay secret for long! Amy refused to let this one get away! So after a few weeks, Amy tagged along to a Luke Combs concert with Chris and Erin. That evening, in the midst of music and fun, they shared their first kiss, and the rest is history. Amy and Chris have walked through so many phases of life as they grew up together, but the last two years of this adventure have been their favorite!
We absolutely love Longwood Gardens engagement sessions, so if you need some inspo, please continue reading.
