A Celebration Long Awaited
Victoria’s Liriodendron Maternity Session
Infertility is a journey no woman ever anticipates taking. It is relentless, indiscriminate, and often a silent battle fought behind closed doors. For eight long years, Victoria walked this path—bravely, vulnerably, and with a quiet strength that never wavered. I had the honor of walking part of that journey alongside her. While we were little more than acquaintances in high school, our connection deepened as we faced the trials of IVF, hormone shots, swelling, and heartbreak—together.
Between us, there have been over a dozen failed attempts to conceive. And yet, here we are, sharing something we both once feared might never come: a celebration of new life. With her first daughter arriving in just a few weeks, Victoria’s Liriodendron maternity session felt like more than just a photo shoot—it was a visual love letter to resilience, faith, and unconditional love.
The Beauty of Healing
Photographing motherhood is often emotional for me—because I know the sting of longing and the joy that follows. I was one of the lucky ones, and through adoption, I became a mother to my daughter, Katlyn. The journey didn’t go as planned, but the destination? It was perfect.
As I documented Victoria and Bryan preparing to meet their daughter, Brielle, I didn’t feel sadness or envy. I felt overwhelming gratitude. The kind of gratitude that humbles you. Whether your child arrives through adoption or birth, motherhood is sacred, transformative, and deeply personal.
“Jes and Meg are so sweet. They are patient and know just how to get you to laugh. I love how genuine they both are and that makes you so comfortable, even if you don’t know what your doing! They will always get great candid shots.”
