Is this not the most charming little family you’ve ever seen? I had the joy of meeting this beautiful trio during an overcast Papago Park family session, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a sweeter experience. This session came to be through a heartfelt referral. Referrals means the world to a small business like ours. Word of mouth is the quiet engine that drives so many of our most meaningful connections. I’m endlessly grateful when clients share their stories with friends and loved ones.
This session was extra special, thanks to, Brooklyn and Brittany. They recommended me to the Yahraus family. Their kind words brought us together for the family’s first-ever professional portrait session. A milestone I was honored to document. Capturing the beginning of their family’s visual legacy felt like a privilege I didn’t take lightly.
The soft overcast sky was the kind of unexpected gift photographers dream about. It created a beautiful, diffused glow that blanketed the desert landscape and gave us freedom to shoot in multiple directions. It was a delight to not worry about harsh shadows or squinting eyes. Even better, the cloud cover allowed us to begin earlier in the day than usual. This gave us extra time to explore, laugh, and get comfortable together in front of the camera.
There’s a kind of magic that happens when the light, the location, and the love all come together—and this session was proof. From soft giggles to tender snuggles, the Yahraus family made my job easy and the images unforgettable.
What a joy to witness a story just beginning to unfold, and what a privilege to capture it from the very first chapter.
