We had the privilege of capturing Mary and Jordan’s love story from the very beginning. Starting with their sweet proposal at Wrigley Mansion, their destination engagement session in California, and then their wedding day when #jordangotmaryed during their winter Stonebridge Manor wedding in Mesa, Arizona. Their day was full of white and red florals, velvet maroon accents, a variety of locations, and a whole lotta love.
a dance to remember
Normally the reception is my least favorite part of a wedding day. Don’t get me wrong, I love weddings period! But if I had to choose, the reception would be the last on my list. That wasn’t the case for this reception. Let me set the scene…
The music just transitioned from the Grand Entrance to their first dance, Biblical. Mary and Jordan come together, hand in hand, and walk to the center of the dance floor. A slow yet intimate and intentionally choreographed dance comes alive before my eyes. Jordan guided Mary across the floor with ease and even though they were reciting the moves in gentle whispers, she had a sense of trust and calm in her eyes. Midway through, he dips her and plants a long sweet kiss on her lips. As their first dance came to an end, Jordan lifted Mary in the air and she threw her head back. A broad smile of pure joy spread across her face and the light of the cold sparks exploded from the machine, perfectly framing the last moments of their dance. It looked like it came straight from a fairytale movie.
bumble love
The reception wasn’t just filled with sweet moments, it was also filled with high energy, cultural music and traditions, and lots of laughs. These laughs started with Jordan’s toast about their love story. If this isn’t a new trend, it absolutely should be. Jordan took a moment to thank everyone that helped them get to where they are today and then introduced his beautiful new wife! Then he proceeded to narrate their love story to the guests that didn’t know all the details. It was both adorable and hilarious and it went a little like this.
Bumble showed Mary and Jordan as a match, which means Mary had 24 hours to make the first move… it was hour 23 and she still hadn’t messaged him, so Jordan extended the option for Mary to reach out for another 24 hours. Jordan knows he is a pretty good catch and was honestly surprised that she didn’t jump on the opportunity to snap him up! He thought that maybe she just didn’t see it. And yet, another 23.5 hours went by. Mary waited until hour 46.5 to make the first move, and even though it took her longer than Jordan hoped, it all worked out in the end.
Mary and Jordan had their first date at Tempe Town Lake in the middle of covid, and just spent hours talking.
“From the day I met her, it was her smile. It is electric, and it always warms my heart. Now, all I ever want to do is make her smile and I wouldn’t be the son, brother, or friend I am now without her.” – Jordan
What amazing pictures, I can see the love they have for each other in every picture.
Great job!
