woman's bedroom. When it comes to photography however, it means something a little deeper. Boudoir Photography is loving your body and who you are in your skin at this point in your life. It is feeling free and beautiful to be you, for you, and no body else! Our boudoir sessions are classy and more empowering than sexual. We are capturing the art work that your body is, no matter what shape, size, or shade.

I am a photographer. I LOVE taking photos of other people & documenting their love for each other, themselves, their lives, whatever! So since I am a photographer & am versed in the art of posing, I should be a natural in front of the camera, right?
In fact, the running joke is that I turn into Ricky Bobby in front of the camera. If you ever have a consult call or session with us, this joke will likely come up because it’s the absolute truth (“I don’t know what to do with my hands…”)! But also because I want you to know just how much I understand how awkward it can be in front of the camera. I feel you. I. Feel. Ya!
But I also feel like if we don’t capture the beautiful moments in life, they will pass us by. Time marches on. Memories fade. But the photos I have with the most important person in my life won’t (especially thanks to digital downloads, whoop whoop!).
That’s why these anniversary photos Jes took of Dave & me are so incredibly special. When I look at these, I don’t see how I wish I had styled my hair differently, or wish I had gotten my makeup done, or my teeth whitened (ok…I’ll be honest…I see those things A LITTLE). Instead, I immediately feel how much my husband & I adore each other, make one another laugh, & how much freaking fun we have together. Dave is my rock, my sounding board, my person, so no matter how much being in front of the camera makes me squirm, celebrating our love is worth so much…certainly worth more than focusing on my insecurities!
Am I a goober? Yes. 100%!!! But that’s the beauty of these photos! They truly capture our personalities & how we genuinely interact with each other, which is what we are ALL about at MWP! Not just taking pictures- yes, we totally do that- but rather creating sweet little moments that bring out authentic emotion♡.
Trust me, friends, if I can get over my fear of being in front of the camera, YOU CAN TOO!!! And it will be totally worth it when you do.
