You are the peanut butter to my jelly
Chocolate or vanilla? Spaghetti or meatball? Shake or bake? Macaroni or cheese? Peanut butter…or jelly? While all of us are a very special flavor all our own, it’s hard to deny that there are just some instances when combining two distinctly different & unique tastes makes something that is, somehow, exponentially better together.
While this probably seems like quite a few questions of nonsensical nature, let’s generalize those to one of the greatest relationship questions of our time: what happens when you put two different personalities together? Do character traits clash & create friction, or do they synergize to formulate the perfect balance of yin & yang? It’s abundantly clear that for Becca & Tyler, the latter is true.
You see, some people just elevate one another when they’re together. On the one hand, Becca, a registered nurse, is self-described as, perhaps, maybe, a little bit, “type A” personality. Which makes sense, as there are times when she’s just gotta be in control in her line of work because the consequences otherwise could be dire. Tyler, on the other hand, is more the laid back, easygoing energy characteristic of Type B’s. Tyler is very “go-with-the-flow,” which, when added to Becca’s penchant for routine, creates an absolutely perfect balance.
In all seriousness, it’s a beautiful thing when two perfectly matched, though paradoxical personalities come together to make what some might call a metaphorical root beer float (arguably one of the greatest combos of all time). One is bubbly, invigorating, and has big flavor, while the other is mellow and smooth, counterbalancing the effervescence of its carbonated companion. Sometimes in life, there are just flavors that belong together. One thing is for sure:
truly a perfect pairing
Becca, Tyler, & sweet Max, we love you all so much & can’t wait to celebrate your wedding day this time next year!!!
