Knotty Barn proved to be more than just a wedding venue. It was a haven of animal wonders and beautiful views. Guests were greeted by charismatic zebras, cows, horses, and endearing emus. The aesthetic was a harmonious blend of rustic details and a color palette that danced between dusty rose, lavender, sage, with touches of gold and natural wood. The earthy tones complement Knotty Barn’s natural surroundings, creating a visual charm with the Usery Mountains just beyond the farm.

In a heartwarming display of familial support, all vendors other than The MaeWood Collective were friends and family. Gemma’s brother, Soren, an audio engineer, took on the role of DJ, spinning tunes that resonated with the crowd. The skillful hands of friends elevated Gemma’s beauty. Orrin, Paxton’s dad played the bagpipes at the reception. The stunning bouquets of dried lavender, pampas grass, and bunny tails were delicately arranged by the bridesmaids at a workshop the day before. This intimate touch highlighted the importance of friendship and family in their celebration of love, showcasing just how special of a bond they all share.

This wedding day became a celebration of love in many forms. Gemma’s family shared touching stories of her adoption journey and their families created an atmosphere of warmth and acceptance to all. It started with the father-daughter first look. Mr. Sean, Gemma’s dad, gifted Gemma with a pearl necklace from China. Thoughtfully tying in previous chapters in Gemma’s story with the newest chapters in the book of Mr. and Mrs. Gray!

St. Anne Roman Catholic Church

The ceremony took a sacred turn as Gemma and Paxton exchanged vows at St. Anne Roman Catholic Church. The spiritual ambiance added a profound layer of significance to their union and the children’s choir rang out with angelic songs throughout the parish. The timeless traditions, sacred hymns, and the Eucharistic celebration echoed the eternal vows made in the presence of God and the gathered community of faith.
