This past Saturday, we enjoyed capturing Kayla and Chris’ blush and mauve wedding at Osbornia Farm in Quarryville, PA. Despite the unseasonably cold and rainy weather, their special day was filled with magical moments.
Our MaeWood couples are special to us, but Kayla and Chris’s high school sweetheart love is extra special in our hearts. We have known Kayla since her junior year. Kayla became Jes’ student aide her senior year, and as a young teacher, Jes and Kayla instantly became close. During first period, they would chat about graduation, prom, senior week, life, and Kayla’s love, Chris. Jes attended the before-prom celebration and graduation, supporting her girl every step of the way. Over the years, we lost touch and are so grateful that their engagement brought us back together. Watching Kayla become the beautiful woman and wife she is now has been one of Jes’ greatest joys!
Back to The Love Story at Osbornia Farm
Nestled in the serene countryside of Quarryville, Osbornia Farm provided the perfect backdrop for Kayla and Chris’s wedding. The venue’s rustic charm, combined with its sprawling landscapes and historic barn, offered a picturesque setting that left guests in awe. The rain forced their ceremony inside, where they exchanged vows under a beautifully decorated wooden pergola adorned with white and sage greenery inside the main barn. The overcast skies and gentle drizzle created a cozy, intimate atmosphere. Then, a close friend officiated the heartfelt ceremony, adding a personal touch that made the moment even more special. Kayla, radiant in her exquisite lace gown, and Chris, looking dapper in a classic navy suit, were unfazed by the weather, their love warming the hearts of everyone present.
Personalized Blush + Mauve Details
Every detail of Kayla and Chris’s wedding reflected their unique love story and style. The chic décor, personalized favors, and individualized gifts left no stone unturned. Inside the charming barn, reception tables featured elegant centerpieces of wildflowers and greenery. Custom signage guided guests, adding a charming touch. Additionally, the couple’s pups, Sully and Finn, adorned the drink menu, identifying the signature drinks. Furthermore, the Lancaster Cupcake Truck delighted guests with an assortment of delicacies.
Dancing the Night Away
As the evening progressed, the farm’s staff transformed the barn into a lively dance floor. Kayla and Chris shared their first dance to a soulful rendition of “You’re Still the One” by Ben Rector. Understandably, there was not a dry eye in the house. Seriously, we have never seen so many tears during special dances and toasts! The evening continued with joyous dancing, laughter, strobe light glow sticks, and oh so much singing.
Congratulations, Kayla & Chris!
