Christine brought her wedding day at the Phoenix Zoo to life, just like her proposal! She knew exactly what she wanted and with Gabe’s support, she made it happen.
A PICNIC WITH PIES: In the heart of Arizona’s desert landscape, amidst the serene setting of wildlife, a joyous celebration of love took place at the Phoenix Zoo. Christine set the stage with navy, pale blue, white, and tan hues, creating a subtle picnic feel. Their bouquets were delivered in precious wicker picnic baskets and their vows books dawned the phrase, “At our picnic, all we need is pie!” The pies were lovingly baked and bursting with flavors. They ranged from Smore’s to Raspberry, Peanut Butter, and Chocolate Crumble! Guests savored every decadent bite as they toasted on the newlyweds’ happiness.
The rest of the details were just as subtle, yet beautiful and sentimental. Not only was their sweetheart table adorned with tiny silver statues of wild animals, but their pie table also showcased their sweet puppy, Evee! Evee also joined us for their wedding day portraits like she did for their engagement session on Huntington Beach!
Gabe turned around expecting to see his precious bride standing before him in the middle of Papago Park. He didn’t expect to see her taking a picture of him with their very first disposable camera they used when they started dating! This adorable, decorated camera was hand-designed by Christine just for them. 3…2…1…Cutie!
Against the backdrop of palms and zoo decor, Gabe + Christine shared handwritten vows. Christine promised to keep life exciting and Gabe promised to be the best dog dad there ever was! Before their wedding day, however, I vowed to get them a portrait with one of the giraffes. We decided to name him Gerald! No, that wasn’t his name. But we made it just in time before bed for “Gerald” to make his debut on The MaeWood Blog!
A Day to Remember
As the stars sparkled over the festivities, and the bonfire soared to the skies, Gabe + Christine’s wedding day came to a close. Their guests cheered as they ran to their shuttle through an array of bubbles! With hearts full of love and memories, they embarked on their next adventure together, hand in hand.
